Its been a while since iv been on guys. life has been hectic i feel as though iv been on an emotional rollercoster. Unfortunately through it all iv had to make the heart breaking decision to find Ali and Peggy a new home. I have agonised over it now for weeks and weeks but i keep coming back to the same thing, i just dont have the time to give them that they really wants, needs, and deserves. Iv ended up letting them share a cage now which only seemed fair to both of them as they are in love and i havnt had the time to spend with them especially Ali like hes used to. given the choice Ali always chooses me but since i havnt been around that much i guess its better that he be with peggy. but this is not the life that i want for them. Ali would be no good as a breeder because he thinks he is human and peggy only has one leg, in saying that i would still prefer not to seporate them.

Ali is a true gentleman. he will spend all day with me if given the opertunity. he loves to take a shower, and going for drives in the car. i loves spending time in the garden and romping around in the long grass playing hide and seek with my two dogs and laughing at the other birds in the aviaries (yes actually laughing at them when hes on my shoulder and we are doing the rounds he cackles and cackles so hard i honestly think sometimes he really is seeing the funny side of something he really does have a sense of humour)

He says "hello, hello Ali, good boy good boy, wheres my kisses, whats it to you, whatch doin, how you doin, wheres ya bot bot, wack wacko, bath time, good night, good morning (in corrisponding times too) he calls out "jake" when he hears me whistle to the dog, he also tells peggy "peggies pretty, pretty peggy" and a few other things hes working on that i cant quite grab yet.

Peggy lost one of her legs when she was with her previous owner due to a leg band getting caught on some wire in her aviary. now she only has a stump which she uses remarkably well and this doesnt stop her getting around everybit as good as Ali. She is sweet and will come over to say hello through the bars or when the doors is open she will climb out and sit ontop but rarely lets me touch her. she fine as long as its on her terms. im sure this could be worked on but i just dont have the time. she says hello, hello peggy and hello ali and goodboy (i guess she listens to ali all day telling himself hes a goodboy)

I'm sorry you feel the need to rehome them, but only you can know what is the best decision for you. I know how hard it is to have to make that decision.

Wishing you the best of luck finding just the right home.

Hi nadya,

Im not sure i am allowed to put a price on this forum as that would constitue "selling" not "rehoming". In anycase money isnt the important factor its their home. im not sure where you are but ill just let you know i will not freight either of them. im happy to drive a bit to meet someone with them but i will not put them in a box and put them on a plane. so if you live close to brisbane pm me if you are interested.

Oh I do hope this is a match!

Just a note...it is okay to post a rehoming fee providing it is reasonable. If the owner is making money off of the bird, then we will remove the post.

Hopefully you've found someone to help you out. Provide an update when you can. smile.gif
