Does anyone know if there are feeder doors on the Large Dometop by A&E? Or, does one have to reach inside the cage. The cage i found is 32x23x40 (inside height). Here is a link to the site. http://www.csnstores.com/AandE-Cage-Co.-9003223-AEC1005.html I have to say the price is perfect for me. Lots of room for the money but unless there are feeder doors, I just don't know if it's worth it. Although, it's not the end of the world if you have to reach in! Your thoughts please and thank you in advance!

Yes there are feeder doors on the cage that the link took me to. They open from the outside. No need to reach into the cage.

If that's the cage that the link takes you to, yes there are 3 food doors as well as a breeder door.

That's a big cage for a little quaker but I'm sure it will do nicely. The 5/8 inch bar spacing is good. It will definitely give you lots of room to put different types of perches at many differnt levels and if you teach your bird to forage throughout the cage then he will definitely get good exercise.

My only concern for myself would be the hieght and depth of the cage...Since I'm not real tall I would have a hard time getting the bird off the top of the cage if he chose to go to the top of the dome and to the back. I'm not opposed to using a step stool however. smile.gif wink.gif

do you think the Medium dometop with the 24x22x39 (interior height) would be more suitable for a quaker? I'm 6'4'' with long arms! Here's the link with medium ... http://www.csnstores.com/AandE-Cage-Co%2E-...22-AEC1004.html

This is the same cage I have and he has tons of room in it. I think he would be lost in the bigger size. The only thing I dislike is I wish it had the playtop.

I've always said that wider is better than taller---I would go for the first one you showed, but it is your decision.. smile.gif

The smaller one is a good size, but rule of thumb is the biggest your pocket book will allow...provided it meets all the criteria for the specific bird.

Being as tall as you are, you wouldn't have any problem reaching top center back.

Here is a picture of my cage. I found mine on Craigslist for $25 though so I couldn't pass it up biggrin.gif You can see Yoshi in the top right of the cage to judge the size.

Definately! The screws are missing on the top piece so it is ziptied together, but besides that, the cage is pretty nice. She also gave me a parrot stand on wheels for $10. I got lucky!

That is a great deal! I wish I could come across a deal like that cause my Yoshi would love to have more room to crawl smile.gif My eyes are open! happy.gif

I have the 32x23 size and it's not too big. In fact, Frost is constantly trying to take over new territory and expand her kingdom.
