Click to view attachmentHi, I'm so excited to find this website and have had so much fun looking at all the posts and pictures. It's easy to say that I'm obviously not the only bird parent that is just nuts over my new child. His name is Green Bean. I got him about 5 months ago and I love him to death! I bought him for my daughter, but as time went on, he became more of my bird. It took him about a week to get adjusted to us; he made little to no noise. Then it happened. His chirpping, whistling, singing and other cute noises became non-stop entertainment for us. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that he wasn't as fiesty as usual and decided to take him to the vet. He did have a cold and was put on anti-biotics. He has since gotten over his cold, but now he doesn't sing and chirp like he used to. I miss his good-morning greetings of happiness. He comes around every once in a while. The vet assures me that he is ok and the change in behaviour is because he is molting (which he is, a little), and that he will pull out of it soon. I sure hope so. I am patiently waiting to hear all that cute, loud, wonderful noise that I got used to.

The picture is of Green Bean and his big sister.

He's just grumpy right now from being sick and molting. He'll be okay and start making noise again in no time. Try playing some music he likes and see if he'll sing along. Great photo, too! And I love his name. We call Clyde that sometimes as a nickname because he likes green beans.

Yes, absolutely beautiful picture! I can't wait until my little rescue girl gets her feathers back and looks green and glossy like that! Welcome to the forum!!
