We've decided to go ahead and order a jolly ball. Since the happy hut went over pretty well I'm hoping that the jolly ball will too. I figure I can make it into a hanging play gym if he throws a fit about it being in his cage. Anyhow, my question is this. What else is a favorite thing? I've read about foot toys but we don't have any..and there are all kinds of bird toy parts but I'm concerned that I wouldn't be able to make it into a real toy. I'm asking because since we're ordering already I figured I'd look through the website and pick out a few more goodies. I HATE paying shipping. It's just a pet peeve of mine. So unless I'm already ordering something special or have free shipping from a certain website I usually don't do a lot of online purchasing. I do plenty of shopping, I just never actually order the stuff! So I thought this would be a good chance to try and get a few more toys that others have had success with. So far the main toy our bird has played with is the mirror and a small cheap shredder toy. I'd like a good foraging toy since I think he would be good at that. And I've been considering the birdie bagel holder w/bagels since he likes to chew on the shredder toy so much.
This is the website I'm ordering from just in case anyone is bored and wants to look it over. I'm open to any suggestions! We're waiting until the first of November to order because that's when the jolly ball with toys will be available once again.

I don't know what is good for additional toys but thanks for posting that website. I was looking for somewhere to get the Jolly Ball from.

What size Jolly Ball should I get? 6 inch or 10 inch?

A 10 inch is recommended for Quakers. If you wait till the first of November the one with toys will be available again. 6 inch would be too small for a Quaker though. So, I'm glad you got something out of it! lol

Foot toys are super easy to make. I got a bag of odd scrap leather laces for about $8. I'll string a few toy parts on each end, tie some knots, and that's it. The fids love them. Some good toy parts are plastic keys and rings, stainless steel bells, wooden rings, wicker stars, etc. I got a bunch of cheap untreated wicker bread baskets from Michaels. I'll attach one to the side of the cage with cable ties and fill it with foot toys. My fids play with the toys and destroy the basket in about a month.

Can any of you give me any guidance on whether I should order the JollyBall with the nickel plated chain or the stainless steel? Pros and cons? I'm leaning toward the stainless and of course I am going to order the toys with it. It looks like a nice setup, but knowing my little diva she will likely turn her beak up to it.
