I sometimes wear colored hair ribbons in my hair, and Yoda loves to gnaw on them! He doesn't really eat them, just preens them.I have put some in his cage to play with, and I'm just wondering if they are safe? There's no glue or anything on them, but they are colored. Anyone know anything about ribbons?

Just my opinion but I personally would not leave ribbons unsupervised in the cage. The threads will not come apart very easily if a toenail get caught in it.

I agree with Katie, ribbon doesn't come apart very easily and could easily get tied around toes etc. Try getting some parrot-friendly cotton rope, they make special 100% cotton rope that pulls right apart so the bird doesn't get stuck/trapped. smile.gif
