Can quakers eat pumkin seeds straight from a pumkin or do they have to be dried first?

I'd asked this one a couple of weeks ago when we carved our Jack O'Lanterns... the general consensus was that they're fine either way but when they're toasted slightly they last a little longer. You could offer them both ways and see how your fid likes it?

I would wash them to get the goop off and then dry them in the oven for a bit. You can freeze them after that so they last

Pumpkin seeds are fine right from the pumpkin. The raw pumpkin is ok too. Just be sure if you are giving a raw pumpkin to the birds to wash the outside with ACV or GSE to kill anything that may be on it. Here is Joey enjoying the pie pumpkin I bought him. He ate more of the actual pumpkin than he did the seeds, which really suprised me.

Super cute pictures Katie
I let my pumpkin seed dry on there own. I start givng them to Max, and they dry out in a few days, then put them in a container for later.

If you let them get their own pumpkin seeds out of the pumpkin, it is super cute to watch. They have all the goop still on them and most of them just slide out of their hand like a wet bar of soap. lol
