http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pet/1447404690.htmlAnyone have an idea on what kind of parrot this is? Not sure what the heck the post means poor people have no grammar skills. Only know they are trying to get rid of it. Its very pretty and looks on the larger size.
Thanks

The posting has already been removed. My guess is that this ad was a scam. They promise a large parrot, like a Hyacinth macaw, for a bargain price. But there is no bird...and you will lose your money. They con artists don't speak English, and they use computer translation. That's why it looks so different. They are usually in a different country..too far to check out the bird yourself.
There are many ads like this...and it is best to stay away.

I know exactly the kind of ads you are talking about and this didnt seem to be one. its funny cause it was JUST posted when I noticed it. The person just had lots of spelling mistakes. I had no interest in getting the bird just was curious in the kind.
Maybe if I describe it?
It looked rather large it was bright green (reminded me of an IRN) had a pretty white beak, and had these GERGEOUS pink/purple feather on its sides that went onto its wings.

Ive been googling trying to find this bird for 30 minutes and I think I finally found the bird. Im pretty sure it was a Green Electus. The red on its side just looked pink from the lighting I guess.

That would be a male Eclectus. The females are red, males are green. Problem is, their beaks aren't white.

I think it was just the lighting in the room. It was pretty funky cause the red looked like a fuschia color.
If not then I have NO idea what it would be.
