Hey. I wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on this play gym:

It wouldn't be the only area of play for our little guy, but its an attractive thing to put on the wall beside the recliner and I thought if it was big enough it would be fun. He has his play-top cage which he plays with inside and out, he has a table top play gym, and we are currently building a play gym if we can ever get around to finishing it! So......let me know what you think. And if you've seen it cheaper somewhere else PLEASE tell me! Thanks ahead of time.

It's cute! My only concern would be it barely looks like the doweling is big enough for those budgies. =) Betcha you could build your own quaker sized one using a wall mounted cabinet. If you watch any of your local cabinet makers they have display sales every year when they change models. Or if you're handy at all with a jigsaw and some stain, you could build the collapsable part with parts from the hardware store.

I agree with Cacophony. I like it but wonder about the dowels being adequate for a Quaker. You might want to call them & ask the dowel width. Or possibly buy either sisal or cotton ropes to add/attach to the play gym. Or make a similar one yourself.

I've seen those in person...they aren't very big and the pull out doesn't pull very far. I'd say save your money...

The idea is great, but its just not big enough for a quaker.

Thanks for all the advice. And I learned after starting the big play stand project that I AM NOT handy. lol. I guess I will just save my money and try to come up with something else.
On a side note, if you are not handy with a jigsaw, don't use it. lol. I have the scars to prove it.

Oh dear... *grins*

I have a friend who has his own renovation company... I bribe him with baking when I need things jigged. Or drilled... or built. Everyone has skills! BARTER!
