OK i used to think it was bad for my little racal to eat what I eat. now that I know it isn't i started sharing with him. The little brat will try to see what I am eating and if i don't offer him some he tries to look in my mouth! I don't always want to share!!!!!!

LOL My first Quaker was the sweetest bird ever UNTIL the one time I forgot & got her out of her cage while I had a small chocolate bar that I wouldn't share! That was the first & only time she ever bit me! Boy, was she mad that I denied her demand to have a bite of my chocolate bar! After that I never got her out of her cage unless I had food that I could share! So it pays to eat healthy! lol It can hurt in more ways than one to eat unhealthy junk food! lol Of course dark chocolate is good for humans but can be toxic to our birds! There are a few other foods good for humans that are not good for our birds, avacodoes (? spelling) are another.

Oh yes, dinner time here can be very noisy if we don't share what we are eating...breakfast is like that too, only I give them their offering before they start to make a fuss!

LOL...Oh silly girl...Just like everyone else has said...what's their is theirs and what's yours is theirs or soon will be.

Just make sure that you don't let them have anything thats been in your mouth...So no biting things off to give to them...tear or cut first...

Sammy gets very upset if we don't share with her. She has special radar and can tell if its one of her favorite foods even if it's not in sight lol. Dinner gets noisy here as well, she def wants to be part of it all. We do try to keep it very health for her.

Glad your cautious about foods!! Yes, it seems we're making a joke of it, but these little guys are "the court jester". We learned to laugh (all over again) from them!!!

Oh I know what you mean, we can not say the word snack around Rosie, as soon as she hears that word she goes nuts and won't stop until you give her one!!

LOL as soon as we open our cupboard both boys fly to the person who is looking in there they know thats where the Yum Yums !! are .....they get an unsalted cashew ....

as soon as we say you want Yum Yums !! they sqwalk and fly to their perch , when we get it from the cupboard we say over there and won`t give it to them unless they are on their stand...

I use to eat at a table and I would sometimes invite Mr. Kiwi to eat with me......he would fly to the table and help himself to my plate of food. Well it got to the point that EVERYTIME I sat down to the table to eat, Kiwi was there, whether he was invited or not, so I had to quit. Have you ever seen a quaker run after your food just as you are about to put it in your mouth?

Whenever I eat or drink something Baby my quaker wants he hollers num num over and over. Now my blue fronted amazon does the same thing. I feel like a Mama bird when I have them on each shoulder and the two of them hollering num num.

marley's favorite is ramen noodles both of my kids get hyped up and dance around singing "noodle soup"!!! and now he does it when he realizes what i'm making and soon the kids join in its really quite a show... all for ramen noodles
