So, an ongoing battle in our family is over household cleaners. Specifically tile mold and mildew. We've tried the whole vinegar thing but it just doesn't cut it. So while I was out shopping I found this organic cleaner called "Greenology". The ingredients are pretty basic it says it has: 1.25% Organic Citric Acid, 0.001% Malic Acid, 0.0001%Organic soybean oil, 98.7489% Organic Acetic Acid and Water. It seems that this would be bird safe, what do you all think?

If you hear of anything, I'd be very curious. I've never had success with anything on mold/mildew except with bleach. I do have one of those hot steam hand cleaners, not sure how that work on mildew though.

The ingredients mentioned are natural substances. When looking for cleaners, Products that are organic, and use orange, or green in their name, are good choices. Most manufacturers suggest diluting for fids. Something like 20-1. The best chemical to bring around your fid, is "ELBO-GREASE".

I use "method" cleaner, but I don't know how it would do with mold and mildew. The avian vet said it is perfectly safe around all animals. In fact I was told that if a dog were to get into it and drink the entire bottle, no real harm would come from it as long. They make a cleaner for many different things. I have always used the all purpose without problems and it cleans anything from windows to oven grease. It is very mild and you can get it sented or unsented.

There's a line of products by Seventh Generation that I really like. All natural and safe. Instead of using a chlorine bleach try a hydrogen peroxide bleach. Or just plain hydrogen peroxide. If you are cleaning up mold though be sure to keep the door closed and ventilate well if you can.
