I think it's the guilt that has been the worst. After all I had left for the weekend, and she had died while I was gone. I've done this many times before, and I don't know if I could have helped her, but regardless the Guilt remains eating away at me.
Here is what happened :: I went away for the weekend, came home mid-afternoon, and went to her cage to feed her --- like I always do, but She was dead. Egg-binding. My Avian Vet is over 58 miles away, and it is the nearest one, but I cannot stop torturing myself with the thought, "If I had been home, I could have done Something... Something. Anything."
....
I just found out my upsairs neighbors were broken into. It may have been while I was gone. It may have been while I was home. It has helped to put things in perspective :: What if on top of my Gemini's death I had come home to find my place broken into?
Those poor people do not have insurance. I feel so bad for them. In some way that has helped me deal with my grief. I don't know....

Thank-you so much! I am treating myself with a dose of Coldplay. Just listening to
A Rush Of Blood To The Head, (The song not the album) and crying. It seems to only way to grieve. It's what I've always done, in times of Grief --- Loose myself in music. Everybody has different ways to mourn.

We've all been there and know how you feel, but we know that doesn't help at a time like this. My heart hurts for you. I pray for ease of your pain.

Thank-you everybody for your kind words. It has been a difficult week, but eventually I think I will be able to cope long enough to clean out her toys, and perches.
... What has helped the most was the member's thoughts, and prayer. So thank-you once again.
