Apparently the budgies had a spat. Normally, they sleep together on this little twiggy "natural" perch that's the highest in their cage. This morning, Bonnie was on that perch, but Benjy, yawning, was on another lower perch next to their mirror where they seem to prefer to hang out during their waking hours. He never sleeps there. Ever. Clearly, Bonnie was mad at him and made him sleep on the couch. I thought perhaps they were arguing last night when I saw Bonnie on the couch perch and Benjy, with his back to her, on the next perch over. He had just been having a mad budgie fit before I went over there to see what they were doing.

Budgie dynamics are fascinating, aren't they?

He was sleeping next to the mirror, huh? Maybe Bonnie has had enough of his two-timing ways.... told him to just go ahead and spend the night with his little mirror hussy if he likes her so much! Bet he's gonna wish he hadn't done that!

ahhhh I love budgies!!!! They are so darn funny. Reminds me of my tiels when I'd have them all out...now that was fun!!
