well.....here's the deal as some of you know i got marley about 2 months ago after being passed around a little and he's really settling in good. any of the bad behavior left (biting, screaming not much but a little, chasing) is gone or diminishing on a daily rate he's become really lovey actually. anyways his previous owner is wanting to come over and visit and i'm a little well really nervous about it maybe messing with his head he seemed like he took good care of him (other than the contravesial spray bottle which has long been thrown away)and really seems to miss him not sure what do you guys think??? unsure.gif

I think the previous owner has a right to come over and check on the bird to see how he is adjusting. But that's just me...lol

I think I would allow a visit, but watch Marley closely to see how he reacts. If it upsets him, then don't allow future visits. If it's been two months, the previous person probably just wants to see him once to be sure he's okay, otherwise they'd have wanted to visit before now.

I'm not sure a visit is a right, but maybe a privilege that shouldn't be ignored. I would start the visit far from the cage. Keep an eye for unwanted behaviors (from the previous owner). If any behaviors come about, deal with them calmly, and try to teach proper handling. Could be a learning experience for all. What ever you decide, GOOD LUCK!

I would allow a visit but if it upsets Marley in ANY way, then donot allow future visits. Just IMO.

give it a try, just keep an eye on Marley for signs of unease or discomfort. Give him lots of praise and love afterwards!

The girl I bought Marla from called me out of the blue about a year later just to find how she (Marla) was. I was glad to hear from her, I knew she really loved Marla and cared for her. I was happy to hear from her and send photos.

Have a great visit andremeber Marley is your FID now and the previous owner is just that, previous!
