Jojo's Mom
So, I got Jojo a few weeks ago (he's 7), took him to the vet and everything came back ok when the Dr. did bloodwork.
Today, while we were snuggling, I was preening him. I noticed a weird lump on his throat. Is it just food in his crop? It felt solid, and he's eating and drinking and pooping normally.

I'm trying NOT to panic.

It is probably normal but how big would you say it is?
Jojo's Mom
Pretty tiny. I mean, i didn't notice it until I was getting down into those feathers on his neck.

Its probably normal ..does it dissapear at times if so maybe just food in his crop....Keep a watch , maybe someone more experienced will pop in to add their advise...

Are you able to get it to nove side to side by gently pushing on it? Or is it solid non noving? Where exactly is it located Using the keel bone as reference with his beak poining straight forward off the keel bone +++ Locate the very top tip of the keel bone and go fron there If it isn't sort of noveable when you palpate it I'd have the vet take another look It could be any nunber of things such as sonething in the crop or it could be a new feather forning +++ if its solid and not noving it could be a tunor of sone type or cyst which should be looked at +++ It's better to error on the side of caution that to just over look it by thinking its sonething nornal and have it be sonething serious
