They rolled to the house
All spread out
Loudspeakers said
Give up. Come out.

The front door opened
And a woman came out
Shaking her head and laughing.
Crap on her shirt, shredded holes.

The police knew she was a hostage.
Clothing all torn, shoulders all worn.
