I am not ready to write his memorial yet. My little green cheeked conure, Squeaky.

But, I would like to share some of his photos. Baby Peeps is the name I called him until we finally settled on Squeaky. He was only hatched a couple weeks when I got him. This is a link to his photo album. There may be some other stuff that got mixed in there, but, you can see him from a tiny little hatchling, until full grown.

Gail--I know what you mean by not being ready to write his memorial...I can't blame you for that....And maybe, just maybe little Squeaky is with someone else by now and hopefully will be back with you before long....I do think of Squeaky when I come on the board and wonder if I'll see some more news about him...
Not knowing the unknown is very heart breaking....There is still hope..... smile.gif Thinking of you Gail......

I think about you and Squeaky every day, too, and continue to pray that he makes his way home.
I watched the slideshow--loved the pic of him on top of what looks like a statue on a cabinet top. He must have been doing his eagle imitation. As for the baby pics...they only serve to reinforce my opinion that feathers on a bird are a good thing... laugh.gif
Right now I think I'm going to go get something to eat b/c that bowl of veggies, etc. made me hungry! (What all do you have in there?? I've always fed Casey whatever is in my frig's crisper, but maybe I should get some frozen; I know she'd have a lot more variety that way!)
<BIG HUG TO YOU!!>

This is actually one of my favorites.

He was just getting big enough to put into a cage, but didn't really perch too well.
Loved the little sleepy tent, which was made out of a child's sized pullon hat.
He would sometimes crawl in and lay down on his side to sleep.
Scared the dickens out of me, too!

See the cereal scattered around the bottom? He was still on handfeeding
formula, and this is what he would pick at, learning to eat on his own.
Also, some parakeet sized Zupreem pellets.

They are all so cute Gail. Squeaky is a little character! Praying that he is putting as many smiles on the face of the person who found him as he did on yours and ours biggrin.gif

A few times I went to Gail's house and that silly Squeeky would fly right over and perch on my head, Now that was just to cute. Squeeky was not afraid of anything or anyone, he had that special way of putting a smile on everyone's face. He could intertwine himself into even the coldest of hearts because he was, and still is, one of those little cuddle bugs that just warms the whole room. He is a bright star in the dark sky and a ray of sun in the morning light. I miss him, hearing what mischief he is getting into on this or that day. I know Gail misses him to, I'm am still hopfull that someone found him and he wiggled into their heart too and they just don't want to give him up. In my mind Squeeky is warm and safe and I will always feel that way.
wub.gif to you little Squeeky.

I miss Peeps/Squeaky! WAAAAAAA!
He was such a ham, and so adorable to watch growing up.
Weird...right now I'm playing Can't Find My Way Home by Blind Faith. That's how I'm gonna remember him not gone...just can't find his way home.
