I am deeply hurt. My Lil Emmy has crossed over the bridge...I do not know why. I am at work and my son just called me and told me she just died. She was fine last night when I said nite nite...she chirpped back at me. Booger said "nite,nite" now I don't know if he will get sick or something...Emmy showed no signs of being ill. I am ripped to shreds. I have to call Dr. Echols and find out WHY,WHY,WHY,WHY. I don't know how much a necrosy costs but I have to KNOW. For the Boogermiester's sake. Oh Jan I am so sorry to hear of this especially when they are put to bed the night before appearing to be fine....I am glad you are having a necropsy done...Please advise.....Again, my condolences to you.....

Probable Cause: Asfyxiation. We have a new gas range and it put off some fumes the night before. The vet will know more later. I had him do a full avian work-up on Booger and necropsy on Emmy. Results pending. Just a warning...do not use a new stove with the birds in the house, or at least not just one room over.
