for some of you this might sound silly but i thought that i would share this with you all.
When I was five years old (I am 24 now) on of my sisters sent away for two tadpoles to watch as they turned into frogs. She was in fourth grade at the time. Anyway, when we got the two little tadpoles, she decided that they were male and female and called them Springer and Springette.
As time went on, Springer grew and Springette wasn't because she wasn't eating. Finally one day Springer dicided to eat her when she was at death's door.
Springer grew and grew and blossomed into a nice aquatic frog. He lived in the water all the time. We could never take im out and play with him. He was a small little frog who was content in his little tank that sat on the bookcase. Someone once said "how do you expect him to live in that little tank?" He lived all right as you will later see.
We were told that these frogs live an average of six years. But after six years, Springer was still going strong. Our theory was that he had a "second life" from Springette.
Springer lived untill he was 18 years old, three times more than the average life span. He outlived our 15 year old poodle and most of our other pets (hamsters, parakeets, etc).
He passed away a few weeks ago, and I was sad to see him go since he was been floating around for most of my life.
So I'd like to take to the time to say:
Rest in Peace, Springer
Love,
