As you may already know, we've recently had some disruptive personalities visit our chat room. After reviewing the options, we have decided that the best way to prevent this in the future is to require forum membership in order to participate in chat.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause some people, as I'm aware that some of our regular chatters are not currently forum members and will have to now register to continue using our chat room. However, this really is the best option for handling these disruptions at this time.
